That We Might KNOW Him

“Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.” — John 17:3

One of the most beautiful truths in Scripture is that Jesus desires to be known. Not admired from afar. Not understood only through sermons or secondhand information. But known—personally, intimately, relationally.

Paul understood this. After years of walking with Christ, he still cried out:

“That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection.” — Philippians 3:10

Paul wasn’t looking for more facts. He longed for deeper revelation—because the more we know Christ, the more we experience His resurrection power in our daily lives.

Growing in the Knowledge of God

As we finish learning about the Holy Spirit and step into studying the attributes of God, it feels like perfect timing. For years, many of us lived with a shallow view of God simply because we didn’t know His Word. A small view of Scripture always leads to a small view of God.

But once we open His Word, everything changes.

God begins to reveal His greatness, His character, His glory, and His heart. And He keeps expanding our understanding day by day. What a gift that the God who created the universe invites us to know Him more deeply.

The Testimony of Heaven

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” — 1 John 5:7

Father, Son, and Spirit—perfectly united—inviting us into fellowship with the fullness of who God is.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Give us a deeper hunger to KNOW You—not just with our minds, but with our whole lives. Reveal the power of Your resurrection in us so we can share the hope we have in You with those around us. Thank You that although we are small in the vastness of creation, we are deeply significant in Your eyes. Your love and mercy are infinite. Draw us closer as we seek You in Your Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
