There is nothing more exciting than witnessing the joy of someone coming to Jesus. Yet as beautiful as salvation is, it’s only the beginning. Following Jesus is a life‑long journey, not a one‑time moment.
Jesus calls us not just to simply make converts, but to make disciples (Matthew 28). Our desire is to encourage women toward truly knowing God—to walk with Him, grow in Him, and be transformed by Him. We long to see hearts that are sold‑out, radically committed to Christ, and shaped by His love and truth.

My walk with the Lord changed forever on a quiet spring day in April 2004, tucked away in the peaceful stillness of the Santa Cruz mountains. I had gone to a women’s retreat expecting rest — but God had something far deeper in mind. In His kindness, He brought me to a place far from the noise of daily life, away from the responsibilities of being a mom, a wife, and a career woman, so nothing would distract me from hearing His voice.
When I returned home, I couldn’t fully explain what had happened, but I knew one thing with absolute certainty: I was not the same person. It was as if a light had been switched on in the deepest places of my spirit. Over the months that followed, through prayer, diving into His Word and learning to hear His voice, I began to understand what God had done in me that day.
I remember His words clearly as I walked along a quiet creek:
“Casey, My beloved child — this is not what I put you on this earth for. To be complacent, professing My name, yet lacking a deep longing and compassion to know Me.”
In that moment, the struggles, temptations, and spiritual complacency that had held me back for years dissolved like vapor. They now stand only as reminders of God’s power to transform and of my complete dependence on Him.
For the first time, I understood that the abundant Christian life cannot be lived through human effort or self‑sufficiency. It is only through the Holy Spirit — through surrender, intimacy, and dependence — that we truly come to know Him.
And that awakening became the heartbeat of my life verse and the foundation of this blog:
“Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” — John 17:3
This is why knowinghim.blog exists — to create a quiet, space where we seek the deep things of Christ together, that we might know Him more fully, more intimately, and more truly.
My passion is to walk alongside you as we pursue that beautiful, lifelong calling: to know Him.

About the Writer - Teresa Moon
For many years, I skimmed the surface of God’s Word. I read my Bible faithfully, but that was all I was doing—reading without truly absorbing. I wasn’t approaching Scripture with interest or with a desire for it to wash over me and shape me into the mature believer I saw in others.
But God didn’t give up on me. Through time, and through the example of people He placed in my life, I began to crave a deeper understanding of His Word. I know I will never grasp it all, yet my desire is to keep working my way through Scripture, eagerly anticipating the truths God continues to reveal.
I’ve always loved how Jesus used parables to make His teachings relatable, and that has inspired me to share biblical truths through everyday life experiences. After more than forty years of marriage, raising three children who are now married themselves, and being “Grammy” to nine grandchildren, life has given me no shortage of meaningful moments—some joyful, some challenging. Each experience is uniquely mine, not to be wasted, and with God’s help, I hope to use them to bring glory to Him.
For more than three decades, I've had the joy of serving women through ministry leadership and as well as serving as a CFO. I don't write as an expert - just as someone who has seen God's faithfulness again and again and wants to point others to Him.
