Intro to the Series: When God Meets Us in the Ordinary

This series was born out of a season when life felt impossibly full—three children, a demanding job, and the calling to be the wife God designed me to be. I was learning, often clumsily, how to slow down enough to hear God’s whisper in the middle of my very real, very ordinary days.
Somewhere between the carpool lines, the laundry piles, and the quiet corners I escaped to for just a moment of breath, I began to discover a truth that changed everything: God doesn’t wait for perfect silence or ideal circumstances. He meets us right where we are.
These devotionals grew out of that discovery. They are pieces of my journey—moments of seeking, praying, lamenting, and ultimately finding God in places I never expected. Even my long, burdensome five‑hour commute became a sanctuary, a place where God gently reshaped my heart and reminded me that He is present in every mile, every task, every breath.
My hope is that as you read, you’ll begin to notice Him in your own everyday ordinary moments too. Whether you’re washing dishes, driving your minivan, folding laundry, or slipping away into the quiet corners of your garden or closet, may you sense His invitation.
May your heart stay open, your spirit attentive, and your days shaped around His presence.
Welcome to the journey. Let’s walk it together.
